What a great way to begin the new year with distinguished visitors at the University! Our Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Kiplangat, in the company of members of the University Management Board, had the distinct honour of welcoming representatives from Family Bank Ltd to the University.
The delegation was led by Mr. Gilbert Tonui, the Branch Manager of the Family Bank Kericho Branch, and was accompanied by Mr. Robert Kipkurui, who is in charge of Insurance. The visit served as a clear demonstration of the strong and growing partnership between the University and Family Bank, founded on a shared commitment to education, institutional development, and community impact.
During the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor received a donation from Family Bank as part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility and its support for higher education. The donation is intended to enhance the University’s facilities, thereby contributing to the creation of a more conducive environment for our students and staff. Such support plays a critical role in strengthening infrastructure that enables academic excellence and holistic student development.
Prof. Joseph Kiplangat expressed his appreciation to Family Bank for their generosity and continued partnership, noting that collaborations between academic institutions and the corporate sector are essential for sustainable growth and innovation in higher education. He reaffirmed the University’s commitment to nurturing mutually beneficial partnerships that directly support the welfare and success of students.
The University remains grateful to Family Bank for their support and looks forward to deepening this partnership in future initiatives that will positively impact the University community and society at large.
