The curtains closed on an extraordinary orientation program that ushered in our 2025 cohort students. What unfolded was the birth of a new chapter, one written with hope, courage and the promise of transformation.
The day was graced by our Vice Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Kiplangat, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration, Planning and Finance), Prof. Robert Langat, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic, Research and Student Affairs) and Provost, Rev. Dr. Paul Lokol.
Prof. Robert, in his stirring message, extended earnest gratitude to the new students for entrusting their future to this institution. Yet, beyond gratitude, he challenged them to embrace the unshakable core values that have shaped leaders across the globe. With conviction, he assured them that the doors of the university’s leadership are always open, ready to listen, guide and support their journey.
On the other hand, Rev. Dr. Paul took the podium with words that painted a lasting picture. He urged the students to tie their shoelaces as they set foot on the rigorous path of academia. He called them to soar like eagles, sharp in vision, steady in pursuit and relentless in flight.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Kiplangat, crowned the addresses with a message both profound and affirming. He congratulated the new students and reminded them that admission to Kenya Highlands University and KH Seminary was an earned and merited opportunity. He urged them to seize every opportunity, not only in the lecture halls but also in the rich tapestry of co-curricular activities that build character and global citizenship.
The orientation climaxed with a moment of spiritual consecration. Rev. David Maritim, the University Chaplain, lifted the new cohort before the Lord, dedicating them with solemnity and hope. Drawing from Jeremiah 29 he reminded the students that their success will not only bless them individually but will ripple outward, impacting communities and nations.
Congratulations Comrades
