Our University Vice Chancellor Prof Joseph Kiplangat accompanied by the Dean School of Health Sciences (Dr. Richard Sang) and the Ag. Director Quality Assurance (Mr. Calvins Odhiambo) paid a courtesy call to the leadership of Kericho Regional Livestock Laboratory located adjacent to Kenya Highlands University. The laboratory facility is ISO Certified: ISO-17025/2017.
The purpose of the visit was to identify possible areas of partnership and collaboration as we seek to fulfill our mandate of teaching, research, and Corporate social responsibility.
The acting in charge, Mr. Richard Rop together with his team took the KHU team through a familiarization tour of the facility. The team observed how samples from farmers are received and evaluated for their suitability for processing.
As a University, we found the facility useful for our health-related and programs including Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Education Science, which are currently on offer, Bachelor of Medical Laboratory, Bachelor of Clinical Medicine, and Bachelor of Pharmacy which are in the approval process.
