KHU partners with NEPAD and Moi University to train Nurses and Midwives Lecturers

Our Vice-Chancellor Prof. Joseph Kiplangat together with the CEO of NEPAD/APRM Amb. Dr. Samori Okwiya and the Principal College of Health Sciences at Moi University, Prof. Tenge, officially opened a three-day training for capacity building on Clinical Facilitation and Learner Support for Nurses and Midwives which started today 29th to 31st January 2025. The Vice-Chancellor appreciated the partnership between the institutions and the team for choosing Kenya Highlands University for the training. By the end of the training, the clinical facilitators and lecturers will be able to support the learning of Nursing and Midwifery students in the Clinical area. A total of 32 representatives from Kenya Highlands University took part alongside the University of Kabianga, Moi University, Kericho Referral Hospital, and other Sub-county health Centres representatives.

The Vice-Chancellor in his address emphasized that the training is important as Nurses and Midwives play a key role in health care in society. Kenya Highlands University School of Health Sciences is committed to training a high caliber of Nurses to be Christian Professionals.
