Receive greetings from Kenya Highlands University.
The University is making great strides in providing higher education that integrates Christian Faith with Scholarship to students as they prepare for the ministry and job market. The student population is now One thousand six hundred and sixty-seven (1,667) from over thirty (30) counties in Kenya. This tremendous growth has overstretched the facilities available at the University. During general assembly functions, for instance, Chapel services, workshops, conferences, seminars, and performances almost three-quarters of our students sit outside and along the corridors. The scenario becomes even worse during the rainy period, which is so rampant in Kericho county. With the recent outbreak of Covid-19, observing the Ministry of Health protocol of social distancing was very challenging.
The lack of enough facilities minimizes the achievement of teaching, mentoring, and preparing the students for the ministry in the church and society. On the other hand, we have a good number of students from very needy backgrounds and they are so passionate about the ministry in the church and society. We also have fifteen teaching staff who need support to enhance their education up to the Ph.D. level as required by the Commission for Higher Education in Kenya.
The University, therefore, is seeking for financial support to put up the needed facilities and purchase the required equipment. We are also appealing for support for needy students, faculty development, and research to fill the missing gap at the University.
Friends, more than ever before, this time is now ripe for us all to sow into the vision and mission of the University. When you donate to the University, you make an eternal investment because you are participating in the Lord’s mandate to make disciples, teach and reach all the nations of the world. We request that we all participate in this heavenly mandate.
