Due to the closure of the University through a government directive on Friday 26th March 2021 the Kenya Highlands University Senate held a meeting on the Special Senate Meeting on 31st March 2021 to deliberate on the way forward on current semester’s pending classes. During the meeting, it was resolved that the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year students will continue with the remainder of the semester’s classes through ODeL. These classes will resume through the University’s ODeL LMS starting on 19th April 2021 and the current (Face-to-Face) timetable will be used to minimize confusion. The Office of ODeL will have a students’ virtual refresher training for those who still need help/support on how to use ODeL on Tuesday 13th April 2021 starting at 10am. Please use the KHU ODeL portal (https://elearning.khu.ac.ke) to login to the ODeL LMS. (See the Memo)
In connection to this transition to ODeL, those students whose phone numbers had not been whitelisted by Safaricom for Educational Data (Discounted Bundles) Access should submit their numbers through the Office of Student Council or class reps as soon as possible.
The Senate also resolved that the 1st year students will not be required to use ODeL at the moment since they were only remaining with the final examination before the end of the current semester. They will just come for a Face-to-Face final examination at a date scheduled by the Academic Office.
