NEPAD/APRM Team Visit to Kenya Highlands University

Earlier today, a delegation from the NEPAD/APRM Kenya Office of the African Union (AU), led by Director Peter Kimemia, paid a courtesy visit our Vice-Chancellor Prof. Joseph Kiplang’at.

The visit served as a precursor to a three-day training program for faculty in the School of Health Sciences on Clinical Facilitation and Learner Support for Nurses and Midwives. The training, scheduled to take place from 29th to 31st January 2025, will be conducted in collaboration with Moi University’s School of Nursing and Midwifery.

During the discussions, the team explored key areas of partnership between NEPAD and Kenya Highlands University. These included capacity building for faculty, advancing the goals of Africa Agenda 2063, promoting ethical leadership and governance rooted in Christian values, fostering civic education, and enhancing research and training initiatives.

This collaboration underscores Kenya Highlands University’s commitment to empowering healthcare educators and supporting sustainable development through strategic partnerships.
