2024 Cultural Event

Over the weekend, We successfully hosted the much-anticipated 2024 Cultural Event, a celebration of diversity, heritage and creativity. Themed “Heritage Through Art,” this year’s event provided a platform for students to showcase their rich cultural traditions, artistic talents and unity.

The event was officially opened by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Kiplangat, in the company of Rev. Dr. Paul Lokol- DVC (Academic, Research, and Student Affairs), Rev. David Maritim (Ag. Dean of Students) and KHUSA officials. The Ag. Dean encouraged students to align their cultural expressions with God’s will, emphasizing the importance of integrity and purpose in all their activities.

In his address, DVC applauded the spirit of unity demonstrated by the students during the cultural night. He noted that such initiatives not only strengthen the university’s community but also provide students with opportunities to nurture talents beyond academics.

Prof. Kiplangat, the Vice-Chancellor, commended the efforts of KHUSA and the students in making the event a grand success. He highlighted the importance of cultural events in fostering integration among the university community, both local and international, and underscored the role of such events in helping individuals rediscover their roots.

The 2024 Cultural Event was a a reflection of the diversity and creativity that define the KHU community. Through art, dance, music, and storytelling, the event brought together students, staff and guests to celebrate their shared heritage and unique identities.
